Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health
The developmental years can be a time of turmoil for children,
adolescents and their families. Child and Adolescent Services offers a
continuum of care specifically tailored to meet these needs. The
services, listed below, are staffed by specially trained
psychiatrists, clinical social workers, psychiatric nurses, activity
therapists and other behavioral health professionals.
Partial Hospital Programs (PHP)
The
PHPs provide daily intensive treatment in a structured environment.
Treatment centers on the child/adolescent at risk and their families
and other support systems. Therapies include group, individual and
family, as well as other more specialized modalities such as anger
management, creative expression, school issues forum, substance abuse
treatment and separate male and female treatment groups. Multiple
family meetings are offered in both the PHP and Intensive Outpatient
Programs.
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)
IOP embraces a broad range of therapeutic techniques designed to
assist children/adolescents and their families to work in an intensive
and goal-focused manner. Scheduling and program content are highly
individualized and geared toward the needs of the child and his or her
family.
Adolescent Inpatient Services
Located in the newly renovated Pomeroy Pavilion, the Inpatient
Adolescent Service offers state-of-the-art treatment to adolescents in
crisis. |
